Your local Gardening Club bids you welcome.

Derwentside Gardening Club, previously known as Annfield Plain Gardening Club, has been established for many years.

We meet on the first Tuesday in the month, from 7.00pm - 9.00pm excluding December, which is when we have our Annual Night Out. (Full details on our Meetings Agenda page)

The venue for our meetings, is at Citizens House, Station Road, Consett, DH8 5RL (Next door to Consett Medical Centre).

The purpose of our Club, is the promotion and furtherance of Gardening, as a pleasurable hobby, open to all ages. Our meetings, which are always friendly and relaxed usually run for approximately two hours.

We examine member's photographs on gardening, and other related topics, which lead to a useful interchange of thoughts and ideas, from which hopefully, everyone derives some benefit. During the warmer months of the year, we also try to have outdoor visits to nurseries, gardens etc, which are always entertaining and informative. (Please see our Gallery pages for previous outings).

All our members are encouraged to speak freely on any gardening related subject, whether it be submitting a query, or giving advice on someone else's problem, and we find that usually, every one leaves a little bit wiser than they were on arrival.

New members, or occasional visitors are always welcome, so why not call in and see us some time? You'll enjoy your visit, and make new friends too.

There is a small fee of £2.00 per head per meeting to cover the cost of the room hire.

Do yourself a favour, and drop in to see us. You won't regret it, I assure you. We're a friendly bunch, & you'll be made welcome. If you have any questions, you can Email us via the link at the top of this page, or contact any of our committee members. Full details are on our Contacts Page..
