With great sadness, we must announce the passing from this world of our Life President, Mrs Paddy Watchman.
After a long and active life, Mrs Watchman passed away on Tuesday 15th October 2013, in Stoneleigh Nursing Home, Annfield Plain, where she had recently been admitted after a sudden deterioration in her health. Her death occurred just over 2 weeks after her 92nd birthday, and her funeral was held in St Aidan's Church Annfield Plain, on 25th October.
A keen and talented gardener, Paddy was known throughout the region for her floral displays, which right until her final illness, she sowed, planted and cared for herself.
She will be sorely missed by not only the members of this club, where she has been a stalwart for so many years, but by the local church community as a whole, where she has also been a long-standing, popular, and active presence.
