It is with great sadness, we must announce the passing from this life of our Garden Club Treasurer, David Plumridge.

After a long and active life, David departed this world on Tuesday 24th February 2026. David had recently undergone treatment for cancer & appeared to be recovering well, but regretfully, a full recovery was not to be & he passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

A keen and talented gardener, David held a deep passion for heathers of which he cultivated many different varieties, creating colourful displays every year.

He will be sorely missed by not only the members of this club, where he has been a stalwart member, functioning as Treasurer & Organiser for so many years, but by the local community as a whole, where he has also been a long-standing, popular, and active presence.

There will be no public funeral service, as the family wish to keep this as a private & personal affair.
